Osmundo’s Attic
I grew up in a multigenerational, multifamily home in New Jersey. Space was tight with two families plus 5 poodles in one split level house, but the time together was joyful. My cousins and siblings and friends would spend hours in the one area the adults dare not venture: the attic. Used as a storage space by our parents, we repurposed the area and played among the treasures of clothing, art, and furniture they collected. We created our own world with our imaginations, and brought back to life the otherwise stored and unused attic pieces. The attic transformed itself into a safe and loving space where we would learn kindness and a love for things with a story.
I grew to appreciate well loved things long after moving out of that split level home. And I’ve spent my free time collecting and rescuing unusual pieces which seemed to have their own history.
I wanted to share these finds and their stories, and have now created my own space ‘Osmundo’s Attic’ for your to purchase, enjoy, and create a new narrative for all of them.
The items are sold on line through this website, as well as select vintage markets in the area.
