Long before Mid Century Modern in Palm Springs, there existed and architectural style taken for granted:  Spanish Revival.  The style honors the influence of the Mexican and Indigenous people who first settled California.

The architectural series is notable for elements which are common to the buildings, including courtyards and fountains which acted as natural cooling systems in the desert heat, and the prevalence of endemic plants which add color to the landscape.
